At Baseboard, we're continuously working to improve our platform. In this update, we'll highlight three new features that will further enhance your workflow.
More accurate step times from video analysis
When Baseboard analyzes a video and converts it into work instructions, step durations were previously determined based on the video's explanation. This isn't representative of how long a step takes in practice.
Step durations are now calculated as the time between the start of one step and the start of the next. This provides a much more realistic representation of the actual execution time per step. The result: work instructions with time indications that can be used directly on the shop floor, without manual corrections.
More control over video-to-instruction settings
The AI that converts videos into work instructions has been expanded with additional settings. You can now specify the desired step size—by default, steps are relatively short, but in the manufacturing industry, actions often take several minutes. You can also set the desired output language.
This ensures that the generated instructions better match the structure and language used by your organization, and that less post-processing is required after the analysis.
File management for administrators
Baseboard has a new upload management page. Administrators now have a complete overview of all files in their environment, including where each file is used. Files that are no longer needed can be deleted immediately.
This gives organizations more control over their digital work environment and makes it easier to keep the environment organized as usage grows.
Conclusion
These features are now available in Baseboard. Have questions about any of these updates? Contact your account manager or send a message through our helpdesk.
