Dynamic 3D work instructions
Blurry photos of chaotic workbenches and outdated screenshots from CAD: the average work instruction is unclear. And it can only be created once a product is in production. Consequently, you are always one version behind reality. That is a thing of the past with 3D in work instructions: your engineering, work preparation, and production revisions are always synchronized.
At many companies, work instructions are the last thing delivered before production starts - if they are even made at all. This is because work is started too late. Only when engineering has released a design can you be sure that the design is more or less fixed. And if your work instruction is based on standalone screenshots and photos, you don't want anything to change.
CAD connected to instructions
What if you could link your CAD model to the dynamic work instruction? Then creating and maintaining a work instruction becomes a breeze. You know which items are used in which process step, so Baseboard knows immediately what the operator needs to see. Our software recognizes your items from CAD and translates them into an MBOM. And thanks to Baseboard's smart algorithm, changes between revisions and configurations are processed quickly and automatically.

3D viewer in work instructions
Thanks to the integration with CAD, the operator gains direct access to a clear, product-specific 3D viewer. Always up-to-date with the correct engineering revision for a specific production order. And for additional context, the operator can move the 3D model. In this way, all information is bundled in one place without losing the connection to engineering.
